Potamo crispi-Ranunculetum trichophylli Imchenetzky 1926

new search

This association is dominated by Batrachium trichophyllum, an aquatic macrophyte with thread-like submerged leaves. It occurs in oligo-mesotrophic to eutrophic water bodies such as small fishponds, alluvial pools and ditches. It tolerates high water turbidity. In the Czech Republic this vegetation type is rather common, but there are few reliable records due to the difficulty in accurately identifying species of water crowfoots (Batrachium).
